ARE YOU A BUSINESS TRAVELLER ??

It was an early flight to Delhi; there was a slight pressure on the ground staff for on time departure. One of the fellow passengers was delayed. Finally, he entered the aircraft and the door was closed – sigh of relief!

“Why cant you give me the seat I want?” he was talking in top of his voice, “I don’t like aisle seats” he was grumbling. “Is it row 5 or 6? I can’t make out because of the security stamp on the boarding pass.” He was now attacking the In flight supervisor. Supervisor was polite and guided him to the vacant seat next to me.

He tried to complain to me, but I ignored him for two reasons. First, I wanted him to cool himself down and second, I am loyal to Jet Airways to listen to his invalid complains. In a while, he realised his mistake and he started his dialogues with me in a very different tone. “ You know my friend, sometimes I wonder, is it really worth running after so much money when you do not have a peace of mind?” I just looked at him with a question mark on my face. He decided to share with me his problems and reasons for his bad moods. At the end he made a statement, he said; “God has made some mistake while writing my destiny.”

Now, I said to myself, its time to speak to my in-flight neighbour. I turned to him and said,” So, you believe in Destiny and I believe in changing the destiny!” before he could say anything, I explained him about the 4000 year old Chinese science called Feng Shui. He could not pronounce the name and I explained the way to say is Foong Shway and not Fun Shu.

When I mentioned that the science of Feng Shui relates to your house or office, he started laughing, Oh, you mean our Vastu Shastra? “No…. No… NO!!! Not Vastu, it’s totally different. You don’t have to make any structural changes to bring the harmony and the good luck in your house. This science is based on placement of objects. Small things in your office or home can bring a big difference in your life."

By now, my friend was totally shocked to learn about this amazing science. He suddenly asked me a question, “ I travel most of the time and I hardly spent any time at home and my brother looks after my office work. How can it help me while traveling? Today I am in Delhi, in the morning I am flying to Bangalore. That means I can’t use your science.” Yes, you can! He wanted to know all about it. Let me share with you readers, it will benefit you and your friends.

Like at home, when you travel, the most important thing is to ensure good energy in your bedroom because when you sleep your body is being recharged. Science of Feng Shui considers bedroom as the most venerable room in the house. When you are traveling you ensure that your bed is not reflected in any of the mirrors in the room. If this happens, your quality of sleep is very bad and your mornings are never good. In Feng Shui, Mirrors are excellent to enhance the energy but if placed wrongly can destroy your luck, health and relationships. Cover all the mirrors in the room before you sleep. Television screen, when switched off, works like a mirror- cover it too.

Split mirrors are dangerous. If you have two adjacent mirrors in your toilet, please cover one of them with the towel. If you see your split image in the morning or before leaving the hotel for your appointments, people will find faults in your personality.

If the mirror in the room is placed at a lower height and if makes you bend down to comb your hair, please refrain from using this mirror. If you happen to use the mirror before going out for an important meeting, you will have to bow down to other people you meet.

Keep the toilet seats down and shut the door at all times. Toilet in any area of your hotel room will bring the energy down. By keeping the seat down you are stopping the energy drain. When you keep the toilet door shut, you are further preventing the energy leakage from the room. In Feng Shui, we believe in bringing harmony in the environment. Hotel room or your home, Feng Shui helps you to circulate the energy in harmony.
